2010 Championship Year
August Early Start League
Rating Appeal Instructions

These August ESL ratings ONLY AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO REGISTER on a

2010 Championship Year adult league team THIS FALL AND WINTER.

ALL players who have participated in a 2009 Championship Year Adult and/or Senior League have the ability to appeal their rating.  This means, if your 2008 Year-End rating was a benchmark “B” rating, you can still appeal your Early Start League Rating.

Appealing Your August ESL Rating

If you wish to appeal your August ESL rating to register on an adult league this summer, please follow these instructions:

During the appeal process, the system will show you immediately if your appeal was granted or denied.

ATTN: Safari (Mac) browser users. The Safari browser is NOT supported by TennisLink’s “interactive pages,” like the appeal process. (The appeal rating link will simply continue to refresh without taking you through the appeal process.) Please download the Mozilla Firefox browser (a free download) and install on your Mac to access these TennisLink pages. Download your free Mozilla Firefox for Mac browser.

1)     Go to TennisLink's "Register for a Team": https://tennislink.usta.com/leagues/TLRegistration/leagueregmulti1.asp

2)     Enter your USTA number and one of these gender-specific fictitious 2.0 team numbers (if you do not have a team number at this time):

MEN (7034517477) or WOMEN (7034517478), then select "Next Step"

3)     In the next step, you will see the message below. You may then appeal your rating using the blue "Appeal Rating" link.

Line #1: Player’s rating is too high for team entered – Edit entry or
                 Appeal Rating

Click here for more information about the automated appeal process

4)     Select "Appeal Rating" and the online automated appeal process will instantaneously and accurately, based on your age and ESL dynamic, either grant or deny your appeal.

If you are not sure whether you need to appeal your rating, you may find the CHANGED rating August ESL database on our ustageorgia.com homepage. Select the database "2010 Chps Year August ESL Rating Changes" and enter your last name and gender. IF your rating has changed from the 2008 year-end ratings, your name and new rating level will appear. You will also know whether your rating has advanced when you go to register for your team and receive the same message as above "Player's rating is too high . . ."

Appealing Your 2008 Year-End Rating

All other appeals (2008 year-end ratings for 2009 championship year league programs, such as mixed, senior, flex and combo) must be done through TennisLink's "Find a Rating": http://tennislink.usta.com/leagues/reports/NTRP/FindRating.asp

(Please remember to enter your USTA number to see the blue "Appeal Rating" link. If you do not remember your USTA number, you can look it up here by entering your name.)

Questions

If you have any questions, you may forward your appeal notification to me at johnson@ustageorgia.com.  Please remember to include your USTA number, which is not listed on the appeal notification email.
